Executive Director
Scott’s journey to sobriety began on September 12, 2001, after a challenging battle with alcohol and drug addiction.
His personal transformation became a driving force in advocating for universal access to top-quality care for those grappling with addiction.
Since 2003, Scott has blazed a trail by setting up and operating multiple treatment centres in the United States. His commitment went global in 2006 when he launched a consulting firm that facilitated the rise of treatment centers in the U.S. and the U.K.
With over two decades of hands-on experience, Scott has navigated the complexities of addiction recovery. He has been instrumental in laying the groundwork for new centres and revitalizing existing facilities facing challenges. His expansive knowledge encompasses treatment operation, strategic planning, financial management, community and government relations, and partnership building.
Recognizing Alberta’s pressing need for advanced addiction recovery solutions, Scott sees an avenue brimming with potential, aligning seamlessly with the expertise he brings to ROSC Solutions Group. His vision, backed by a proven track record, reinforces his commitment to transforming the addiction recovery landscape.

Director, Coaching
Brian Hamel serves as the Director of Recovery Coaching at Bowline Health, where he leverages his expertise in organizational leadership and systems management to drive effective recovery initiatives. With a strong background in hospitality and treatment center programming, Brian excels in creating engaging content and facilitating impactful training for recovery coaches.
Having lived experience with recovery himself, Brian brings a personal understanding and passion to his role. His extensive experience in case management informs his strategic approach, ensuring that programs are both comprehensive and responsive to the needs of individuals in recovery. Known for his ability to streamline processes and enhance team collaboration, Brian is dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the recovery coaching team.

Director, Recovery Coach Academy of Canada
Living in long-term recovery, Kiel has stepped into the role of Director with the Recovery Coach Academy of Canada. Having a passion for those seeking freedom from substance use disorders, Kiel has spent the last 3 years speaking to various groups on the importance of knowing one’s self-worth, discovering hope, and walking in love. With a background in logistics, Kiel has worked with worldwide corporations in third-party storage and fulfillment, gaining years of inventory management, project management, and team-leading experience to apply to his role at the Recovery Coach Academy of Canada. Loving the outdoors, you can find him on the walking paths and trails in and around Calgary, often with his friends and family.
Kiel is active in his local recovery community as an alumnus of a program and continues to contribute through speaking engagements and volunteering today.
Director, Community Relations
Laura Jones spent over two decades building a successful career in the financial services industry. However, her true fulfillment has come from her involvement in the recovery community. Laura has actively served on various committees and boards, and continues to engage with alumni, where her passion for helping others shines.
As a person in long-term recovery, Laura has found her purpose as a dedicated advocate. She champions recovery-friendly workplaces and promotes employee mental health and wellness initiatives, all while working to reduce the stigma associated with substance use disorders.
Joining the Bowline Health team has allowed Laura to align her passion with purpose in a more impactful way. With a strong focus on connection and collaboration, Laura believes that by partnering with communities across the province, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those striving for healthier, recovery-based lifestyles.
Executive Assistant / Office Manager
Laura Mooney serves as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director and Office Manager at Bowline Health. With extensive experience in executive support, Laura excels in managing complex schedules, coordinating high-level meetings, and ensuring smooth office operations. Her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail make her an invaluable asset to the Bowline Health team.
Laura is known for her dedication and proactive approach, anticipating the needs of the Executive Director and other senior leaders to facilitate seamless workflows and efficient decision-making. In her dual role, she oversees office administration, ensuring a productive and well-structured work environment.
Beyond her professional expertise, Laura is deeply passionate about mental health and wellness. She actively promotes a healthy work-life balance and mental well-being among her colleagues, advocating for initiatives that foster a supportive, inclusive and positive workplace culture.
Coaching Supervisor
Joel Henley holds the position of Recovery Coach Supervisor at Bowline Health, overseeing all recovery coaches and leading the charge in making a positive impact in the recovery community.
With extensive experience in sales and marketing, as well as a strong background in hospitality, Joel brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to his role.
Having entered his journey into recovery on December 17, 2017, Joel is deeply passionate about helping others and supporting his team. Known for his positivity and sense of humor, he fosters a collaborative and uplifting environment in the office. His leadership style emphasizes teamwork and encouragement, ensuring that everyone feels valued and motivated.
Beyond his professional expertise, Joel is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those in recovery. His enthusiasm for his work and commitment to fostering a supportive community inspire both his colleagues and the participants they serve.
Director, Business Development
Rhett is deeply committed to advancing addiction recovery and mental health support within his community. His journey into mental health and wellness is profoundly personal. In February 2019, Rhett experienced the transformative power of effective support systems, igniting his passion to create pathways for others on their recovery journeys.
He actively volunteers in both community and board roles, driving efforts to expand access to vital recovery resources. With a diverse skill set, Rhett has effectively leveraged his expertise to help organizations adapt and meet the growing needs of those seeking recovery. He is dedicated to building innovative solutions and enhancing recovery services for the future.
Through his own recovery experience, Rhett has embraced a deep understanding of all pathways to recovery. As a certified CCAR Recovery Coach Professional and Facilitator, he empowers others through training to enrich their communities with skilled, compassionate support.
